Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

Another very quiet day at the allotments. A couple as in two people came and seemed dissapointed that there wasn't a Cafe.
C and the person who was there yesterday were there again today.
Nobody looks any sicker than they did.

They are plastic and they are really awesome. I bought them maybe 5 years ago on Amazon.

It is just one big rectangular plastic sheet with holes. You fold it to make the size of the compost bin that you want (you can hopefully see what I mean in the picture). If you want to turn it or harvest your compost, you can unfold it really easily.

I took both of them with me when I moved across the country.

Let me see if I can find a link: https://www.amazon.com/BanKhok-Geobin-Compost-Bin/dp/B010V673AC/ref=sr_1_16?crid=1VG48346LGJVE&keywords=compost+bin&qid=1663535490&sprefix=compost+bin,aps,178&sr=8-16
Thanks!

Théo took your hint and flew at me this morning while I was bringing the chickens water, or more exactly flew at the water pot.
I was so angry I had a stupid reflex and threw the water at him shouting some ugly names. Doing so I made a wrong move and hurt my hand - now it's has swollen to twice it's size, I'm really hoping I didn't sprain it as it's my working hand 🤣. Talk about being terrible with chickens.
Luckily I can manage some things with my left hand like cleaning the coop or typing on the phone 🙄.

Hopefully the company will appreciate it. I haven't done anything radical to the coop and in general but I think other keepers would have done much the same.
There will be people who won't consider a plastic coop because they think they would be unable to make alterations.
With power tools most of the cutting could be done in hours. I've cut the plastic using a hacksaw blade in a holder.
A point about plastic you can tap a thread into it and with decent engineering screws the screws will self tap if you drill the right sized pilot hole.

I have some self-tapping screws that you don't have to drill a hole for.
