How do you heat your nest boxes?

When we were contending with (what we thought was) a fox, I had read about how to deter them. Urine was one option I read about, and a donkey was the other. There are some interesting photos of fox dangling from a donkeys jaw out there...

Anyway, turns out it wasn't a fox burrowing in my flower beds to get under the porches, it was my naughty dog.

Yep. Those we asked about getting donkeys from said donkeys wont distinguish between coyotes and family dogs. They're all predators to donkeys and you'll end up with a dead dog. So donkeys are no joke. And dogs are naughty

We've had mouse break ins here. It's been a busy day arranging parcel deliveries and collections but the most important was getting the holes filled in. I used galvanized steel wire scourers.

I have just been out and no mice in their run so far.

I don't know if they eat mice but my chickens hunt ground moles.
