My wife does not know. She does not go in the coop, as Mr. Bumble attacks her on sight. I told her she just needs to scoop his tiny behind up and scold him.


All the one month old babies are doing well so far. The two new ones aren't struggling, but don't seem as mobile as the others were.

She has noticed that Sky doesn't come out into the run when she visits though. My wife is much smarter than I am, so I am sure she's put 2 and 2 together.

1.3 kilos of feed later and a handful of mixed maize and wheat.

In case HollyHens gets here this is Lima still with a small bald patch. Even the geese don't bully Lima.

I wonder, if they survive, will the chicks hatch with the ability to see in the dark and dig galleries ?

I had one hid her nest under the platform for the oil tank one year It was nice and dry but really cave-like in there
