Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

To me OPPRESSIVE is a kind word for Florida's weather in the summer.

Well, I do try to be kind . . .

No pictures today. C was home and we had a long talk about what to do about the chickens. There are two hens that are moulting and laying and between Henry and the moulting they're looking pretty rough.
There are no plans to re-home until the New Year.

I did the alternative whatsapp group thing. 13 joined.
One person who really does not like C one little bit joined, but my introduction message read this isn't a group for bashing C and apparently this all the person who left wants to do.

Some of us are meeting up this Thursday evening in a nearby pub for a couple of hours. I shall see how events play out.

Today's vet visit was $419. I sure hope this is the amount paid to learn my bird is going to be just fine.

I’m glad you put in the stipulation of not bashing C. Negativity isn’t productive and that wasn’t the reason for thr WhatsApp. Also glad the rest of the flock will be around for a little while more at least.

That seems a lot to me. What did it pay for? I remember you were getting MRI done, but is there anything else included?

It ended up being x-rays.

They had to give her barium (the white stuff on her beak).
