I don't see enough of them to know unfortunately.
Overall the changes in group composition have been so frequent none that I've seen have formed what is easiest described as strong emotional bonds like the tribes in Catalonia.
Henry and Matilda were the only known family breed.
It's possible the Legbars were siblings. They've been together six years or so.
Mostly they seperate by look and breed. The Legbars would group together showing a stronger bond with Henry and Matilda than they did with the Red Sex Links.
When there were three Golden Comets it wasn't unusual to find them together.
There have also been ten deaths in the last 16 months and these were spread out over the months.
Henry has seen a lot of changes in his life. We worked out from old pictures that Henry is probably eight years old. His favourite human died. It seems C's desceased partner was good with chickens. I've been next most acceptable to Henry.

At least he has had you shadrach that's a big plus

Pretty girls and still friends I see. Has Kraai settled down a bit or is she still a little trouble maker ?

@Perris do you use litter in your plastic coops ?
Is it not a problem to clean poop off the plastic when it's a bit liquid or caecal poop, with no litter ?
I imagine it would be much easier maintenance with a mat and access to water and a hose.

My cockerel / young rooster Gaston, calling for his hens to join him. He is six months and three weeks, but he almost never had the crazy cockerel behaviour, he's a lot calmer with his hens than my other rooster Théo. However if one of Theo's hens finds herself in his range without Théo, he will jump on her and mate her in less than three seconds .

He could do with a little bromide in his feed the randy sod

5. 5 more Ex Battery hens left for their new home this afternoon. The people who took them have a couple of Ex Battery hens. There were more but a fox got them. They will be kept in a coop and run and let out only under supervision. The people seem kind.

C had put the five to go together before I arrived. You can only see three in the picture.

There are who is left.

Coop at bedtime.

I don’t understand your DD1. A fertilised egg is just as good to eat as a unfertilised one.

I do understand that you like to have different breeds. But I find it strange that so many people in the US choose to buy hatchery chicks and let them send through the mail.
I’m glad we don’t even have this possibility here in Europe. But I can only speak for myself, because here its easier to buy eggs, chicks and chickens here. Distances are never a problem.

I wonder.
Do people know what happens in the hatcheries? Like how the chicks are subjected to a nasty examination for gender selection. And that the chicks in a small box in the dark without feed have a poor start. Especially if the mail takes more than 2 days to arrive.

In one word the treatment of chick's is just Criminal
