No mow May is great to give many blooming wild flowers a chance to survive. And the insects profit too.
My municipality started to do this last year (only grasses) on the big lawn in our neighbourhood. This year I see more flowers between the grass.
In our own garden we didn’t mow several spots in the grass with wild flowers for a few years now. It really makes a difference. We have more marguerites, daisies, deadnettle, and more species whose names I don't know.
