I didn't think the article gave a fair representation of the RSPCA.

But it wasn't meant to be an overview of the RSPCA; it was focussed on one thing it does that it shouldn't. Scandals taint a whole organisation, even if they touch only one small part of it. The reputational damage can be enormous.

I thought Fret was going to get up there with them for a moment. This is not something one wants. It becomes a habit and they'll try to roost there for the night. I've done my bit of getting chickens out of trees!

On the Mow's got depression issue, do you think it's connected with her lack of access to the field, or laying ss eggs, or her rank in the flock, or something else?

Well I think farm animals need to be raised and slaughtered humanly . Especially big ag. Cheap meat is what the public buys. People need to find out where their food comes from.
But going plant based isn't going win friends of the meat eaters. PETA comes to mind. People quit listening when it's too radical.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. It is all alphabet soup.
