I might have to, although the idea of learning yet another OS at my age is tiresome.

But the endless AI crap in Office THAT CAN'T BE TURNED OFF is pushing me right over the edge of the cliff, so maybe that's where I'll wind up.

Don't even get me started on Microsoft...they constantly the software that I support.. I LOATHE IT! Our home PCs are on linux, Kubuntu, love it, over year and no broken updates and the distros and office are free. We are looking at getting a linux phone too.

Did he ever actually add cabbage? Maybe I was distracted, but kale seemed to be the closest thing I saw.

So bubble and squeak is a way to stretch a meal, you take your leftovers from sunday roast and fry it up in the mashed potatoes. Poor people's food, not that posh twaddle...LOL

Normally ours is Brussel sprouts, turnips, parsnips and swede (rutabaga), but I like to add cabbage.

but then how would Jamie Oliver make a living!? Or half the people on the Food Network for that matter…I like cooking on the fly with whatever I have. It’s way more fun than planning.

you remind me that we had that sort too, and that Brussel sprouts are a good addition - especially if it was composed of leftovers from Christmas dinner; it goes well with cold or reheated turkey.

Kubuntu has been great, but I used the 25.04 variant and have had unstability. 24.04 has been stable on my main PC.

My Dad has a Linux phone. It's significantly worse than Android. I would not spend your money on one if you want stability.

It drives my husband mad, I take left-overs and whatever we have in the house and it is like a really successful episode of Chopped. LOL I hate planning because what I was in the mood for when I did the grocery shop, may not be what I want on the day, so I just get ingredients that I can do whatever with.

I think the recent MS woes come from them being too heavily reliant on AI for coding and QA, so the humans are not really sure what AI has done so they don't know how to fix it.

AI is a tool, that can be great, but you still have to understand what it is doing and know when to say.. "Um..No, that won't work right.." The August Windows 11 KBs caused hard drives to just go missing, mostly SSDs.. Our customers had fun with that one.

cons: Apple Music is a pig - MS Media Player is (or at least was) much better.

I use Spotify, comes with the WIFI abbo.

MS Office for Mac is dumbed down, deliberately I'm convinced. There's always something I used to be able to do on my work (Windows) computer that I couldn't do on my iMac with Office for Windows, and it wasn't worth the hassle to divide the hard drive and make half of it Windows.

Works great for me, except outlook. I apple mail instead. I use Adobe too for graphic work.

And now Windows has apparently gone to crap, from what friends tell me.
