Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me. I've had no luck so far. I had a baby hatch about a week ago and she had a shaky head. I gave her some nutridrench and some electrolytes hoping that would help her. Over time it got worse and then yesterday she seems to be almost paralyzed on one side. I have given her poultry cell since yesterday and still no progress. A lot of people were saying she has a vitamin deficiency and to give her poultry cell or POLY-VI-SOL. I have given her both, but it's only been a day. Will she eventually get better or will she be paralyzed forever? Or will she pass? She isn't eating. I tried to get her to eat, even eat some scrambled eggs and she wouldn't. I give her water by a dropper. Another chick has similar symptoms, but no where near as bad. They are separated from the others together in their own brooder. I really want to save her, I just am feeling helpless right now.

A shaky head could also be a sign of a possible neurological issue, which may not respond to the vitamin supplements. With the chicks I've treated for wry neck, recovery typically occurred within a couple of days.

Her inability to eat is very concerning. It's good that you're keeping her hydrated, but she won't survive unless she gets food, too, because she's exhausted her yolk reserves by now. Given her condition, you may want to consider tube feeding to try to give her a chance to recover from whatever she has going on.

Best of luck!
