Wow Mader! I had to do a triple take --- I thought those were my chicks! I have all the same mixes and colors!

... and is that a black skinned (or blue skinned) chick in the background of that 1st picture?

What a strange world we live in. While some are paying top dollar for these birds, others can pick them up for next to nothing. Here in Thailand these are everywhere, and the average person here thinks nothing of them.....

If you were sitting here next to me now, and you looked through the window, you'd see a yard full of them

Now, I've just read that people are selling pairs for as much as $200 in the US, so how on earth am I expected to enjoy my next pot of chicken soup:lol:

I recently bought a prize specimen with an outstanding fighting reputation (won many fights), and for him I paid just over $30. At the time, I thought I was getting ripped off, but I still bought him because of his looks, size and reputation. Of course he will no longer be used for fighting, but instead, he will live out the rest of his life as a lover with his girls. I also have one which is five months old, but he will be getting processed within the next day or two. Apart from that, I also have another six, but they're still to small for processing. My hens are kept for eggs, some of which are allowed to hatch in order to keep us supplied with home grown chicken.

What I always find so strange when I read that you can't keep more than one rooster together or they will fight to the death:lol: Laugh......of course I'm laughing, because as you've just read, I have a total of eight roosters and they all mind their own business. Sometimes they argue, but never with the head rooster (the one I paid $30 for), and because none of the others ever challenge him, he leaves them alone. With that said, mine all free range so they have plenty of space.

BTW, the hens are a pain in the butt because if they even hear you mention the word "egg", they go broody

They do make good mothers though, and the roosters make great dads as well. Best thing of all, they never ever show aggression towards humans.
