Shape of egg determines the chick's sex?

I was told that you can predict a chick's sex by the shape of the egg B4 it hatches!
Oval, pointy egg = cockerel, rounded egg = pullet Has anyone noticed such a thing to be true?

The oval ones are laid by hens, other than ya got me!

If that were true, hatcheries would save a LOT of money by not incubating eggs that produce unwanted males.
