Pyrs are roamers if they aren't fenced well. He probably has a home somewhere and is just off adventuring. One showed up at my neighbors and stayed two days. He put the word out and sure enough there was a worried owner waiting around. I made sure to microchip and tag my pyrs as soon as possible after i got them just in case they break out my fence. I'd go crazy if I couldn't find them

Just want to add that it looks like he has a rabies tag? You can call the clinic on it and they can trace his owners that way. Maybe they'll tell you that you can keep him.

this is Maiden China. she is the newest edition to our farm dogs. she actually started out with our other chinese crested alex a couple years ago with a horder. she was taken to a rescue with alex and adopted out. that is where her life with alex ended. we adopted alex a short time later. china's new owner contacted me a couple weeks ago and asked if i would be intrested in her because she had to rehome her. i said yes and went and picked her up as soon as i was able to. now she has been reunited with alex and is loving her life here. what does she like best about being here? well the chickens of course. if she is outside this is where you will find her 100% or the time.

Am I still able to post pics on this thread, or is it too old?
I'm just gonna go ahead. Who knows. Maybe I can revive this thread!😊

This is my 8 month old great pyr/ anatolian shepard/marremma/ karakachan mix pup, Juno. She is great with the ducklings and is a viligent guard dog, napping periodically, and patrolling the yard day and night. Both her parents work on a sheep farm in ND, which is where we got her, so guarding stock runs strong in her blood.

First pic- 10 weeks old, on the way back from ND in the car. She bawled bloody murder whenever we put her in the crate in the back, so she lay in my lap the whole 15 hours.
Second pic- 6 months old, and looking like an angel.
Third pic- 7 months old after hellish a bath. Juno refused to be washed, and kept climbing out of the tub, despite being tied to the faucet. And if dogs could scream their heads off and throw soaking toddler-bedtime tantrums, that is what it was like.
Final pic-6 months, Juno and my other dog, Layla (who serves no puropse more than loudly alerting us to the arrival of the mail man, then standing directly at his knees, barking up at his face.), found a martin burrow on the woods, and decided to investigate.
