hello all,
here is yet another thread. if you have any random tips, post them! and if you have any questions about your flock on anything, ask them!
here are some tips i know, that helps keeping chickens still. which helps when trying to inspect them for injuries.
1. Place the chicken on it's back in your lap. (optional.) gently rub and massage either side of it's breast bones.
2. place the chicken you are inspecting on it's side in your lap. firmly and gently press it's head down. using a finger or a stick, draw a continuous line from the tip of her/his beak, outward.
i forget the last one. but beware, these can last from 15 seconds, to 30 minutes.
