**SHARE YOUR MOST UNIQUE CHICKEN NAME**

CHINOOK, originally named CHIN, after the first Emperor of China.

I have a WPR named Dorothy after my great-aunt's sister. She whines and moans, and b!tches just like the real Dorothy.

She finally laid an egg the other day, after fussing about it for 2 hrs, and it was no larger than a robin's egg! Smallest egg we've gotten, out of the largest pullet!

Our rooster is aptly named "Little Roo", though he is a BA, and quite large, and handsome as can be!

I have an EE with a severly crooked neck that I call Eeyore, because I'm stupid, and forgot it was suppose to be Igor!

The rest of my flock is just called "girls" or "ladies". They come running to either, though DH says they come running when they hear my voice.

I have a beagle that is named Magenta after Blue Clues. Yup she's a few years old, as my youngest is 13 yrs old, and would never admit to having watched Blue Clue's ever in her life.

I had a solid white cat named Charmin, but sadly he passed away last week. He was a long haired kitty, and just as soft, and snuggly! Don't squeeze the Charmin just came to mind when he adopted us 15 yrs ago.

I have a few names...

Blu is a California White that got her name when I sprayed her with Blu-Kote about a month ago... She still has one side of her head that is purple....

Gabby is a Black Sex Link that never stops talking. She is always keeping me updated with the latest goings on in the coop/run...

Pecky is another one of my Black Sex Links that pecks at me everytime I am in the run...

Curly got his name when I realized he was a boy... He was getting a larger comb than the rest of the flock and it curled to one side... The curl reminded me of the curls men used to put into thier bangs in the 40's and 50's... Rockabilly style I guess.

Pretty Bird got her name because she is the prettiest Barred Rock I have ever seen... Her beak has the least amount of black and he has such perfect markings. I plan to breed her with curly for showing purposes...

I also have Baby Girl, Little Bird, Snow, Brownie, Red, Queen Bee, Sweet Bird, and many others...

I recently added four buttercups to my flock, and plan to name them soon...

I have a small starter flock for my backyard and didn't name a single one of them. I left that up to my little cousins (girls ages 9,6,4). I told them they have to be unisex or ambiguous names beecause I only know or sure that the RIR's are pullets.

So here are there names:
-Ruby (RIR)
-Rosie (RIR)
-Mabel (Golden Laced Buff Polish)
-Maize (aka Maizey; Golden Laced Black Polish)
-Oreo (largest of the flock Light & Dark Brahama)
-Fluff (the smaller Brahma, very slow to feather out but def growing in size)

I know my RIR's are pullets, I am fairly certain the Polish Chicks are both pullets, and I also think the larger Brahma is a pullet. Just think the smally, slowly feathering Brahma is a cockerel. What do you guys think?

Also, as a child the DH had a hen named Lincoln [who crowed and beat up all the roosters; they thought she was a roo until the day she laid her first (and last) egg] and a one-eyed rooster named Senator - he ran afoul (no pun intended) of Lincoln and I guess his eye offended her.

He got sent to live with neighbors for his own safety.
