No. Ideal Poultry calls them Brown sex links. Though they are a kind of Red sex link.

We have about 100 chickens now, only the roosters for sure get names, hens only get names if they stand out of the crowd lol

This is my Black copper maran roo called Champ because he nearly died in the box on the way home but pulled through, he has 3 girls all named by the fabric we had to make chicken saddles out of which are Batsy, Skullz, and Canada.

This is CowboyX, the eggs were all set to hatch on the O side and he piped through the bottom on the X side and it reminded us of that old sesame street skit if anyone remembers that. He's a silkie bantam mix.


Here's Blizzard and his girl Vulture, Blizzard isn't around anymore tho cause he was the nastiest rooster we've had. They are Chanteclers.

Then my little man P.J. which stands for Pierre Junior after my 1st rooster and this is the only chick we managed to hatch off him.
We also have Mr.Bitey, Baby Girl, Ginger, Charlie, and Vin Diesel (an unfortunately bald silkie hen)

My roosters name is Pasty, because of when he got severe pasty butt I had to spend two hours cleaning, his full name is Sir PAsty Butt of Yardshire. Pasty for Short.

We have a Welsummer called Orson (Wells-summer), and a green egg laying Araucana called Suess (after Dr Suess - green eggs and ham).

one batch I got were all farytale names. the ones still alive are little red riding hood, sleeping beauty, and snow white! our roo is prince charming! really great names you guys!

While not unique, we have a chicken named "Pecker". Pecker was named because of her fascination with pecking my son's shoe.
The stories and antics that happen with Pecker still bring me to giggle fits. Most are completely innocent when said by a child, but a parent with a dirty mind finds it HILARIOUS.
