I have several chickens but only some have earned names.

First there came Beautiful, she is a BO. Her name explains how she got it.
Then there came another year and another trip to Rural King for chicks. One of them was sprouting feathers out the side of her head so I call her Spike, she is an EE.

Then the hubby just fell in love with the white one and said her name should be Purex because she was so white and soft. I have no idea what breed she is but she is such a pure white and soft as cotton.
Then the American Onagadori arrived and I named them Prince Charming and Fiona. But after a couple of days He seemed more like a Sir Charles so I changed it.

I have a small pullet that I dropped as an egg and it hatched a couple of days early and has always been smaller than any her age. She earned Midget.

Then when I introduced my new flock to the older hens one of my Wydonettes earned a name I don't think I can say here but it starts with a B. And she suits it well. I have 2 roos and only one has a name. He is a Dom and huge. So he is Big Boy. I always called him that so it must be his name. He is the one crowing

A white silkie named Michael Jackson
An OEG named SpeedRacer
A serama named Seraneaux
A serama named Ham
A serama named Dill
A serama named Pickle
A coturnix named Jane
A coturnix named Cookie
A lab named Tootles
And several new babies hatching as I type that Im sure will have crazy names soon

We have 2 Dutch Bantam roosters who are brothers.Their names are Peck and Er. My son named them. Nuff said?

I have a red frizzled cochin named Frizzy. We have an Australorp rooster named Boss Man. Most of our others have normal names like people.

We have named most of our birds, thought the kids are still picking out some names. Here are some of ours:

Pip Squeak (Pip for short)-Golden Laced Sebright

Pepsi (Golden Laced OEGB)

Millie (Mille Fleur, pretty sure now she's an OEGB, not a d'Uccle)

Phantom (Fannie now, fairly sure it's a pullet. Silkie cross)

Omelette & Amber (Amber Sexlink pullets)

Poachy (Amber Sexlink roo)

Silver Laced Wyandotte pullets: Annie, Evie, Opal, Zorra

Silver Laced Wyandoote roo: Sir Wyandotte (though he comes to "My baby", lol)

Suspected other Silver Laced roo, name undetermined. NOT keeping him if it is a roo!

Dolly Partridge (Partridge Cochin pullet)

Dora (Splash Cochin pullet)

Olina (Partridge Turken pullet)

We have more birds but I can't recall every name the kids come up with. My 9 year old is creative with the names. She came up with Dolly Partridge and around the 5th we are getting our Bantam Buff Orpington chicks and she plans to name two of them (provided they are pullets!) Haley and Hilary Buff, after Haley and Hilary Duff. She also wants to get a Barred Rock roo and name him Barred Rock Obama. She is one creative kid, I will give her that. I can't help but crack up laughing every time she comes up with these names. Oh, and we also have two Mallard ducklings named Jesse and Marion. I'll share the interesting names we hear on here with her and see if she doesn't find something new and interesting to call our other birds.
