They always seem to line up for baths.



In our summer of drought, this was after the first rain in their lives, and the dust had turned to mud, so the bath wasn't working well.

As a newbie to raising chickens...this let me know that my hens were normal after all.

I am going to have to take a pic or two tomorrow of my hens in the flower beds that they so love. after this I am going to have to keep them out of it so I can plant my herbs for the kitchen in it, for it is right outside my kitchen door.

my girls are way to spoiled. I built them a dust box with peat moss and sand. They have their nice wooden box in the summer, their green trutle in winter and what ever else they can steal from me! like the container the peat moss comes in!!!!!!!

I have a RIR that dust bathes on concrete as well

Here is my Chickens having a dirt bath. Since then Frair Tuck the Rooster, Austrolthorpe and the two by them selves have gone. But we have three Austrolthorpes coming, and a new Rooster.
