I am starting to like my turkeys a little bit more than the chickens........Shhhhh, don't tell the chickens......

My kids came out to the backyard to look at how the turkeys were growing. They hadn't been over for about a week. And when I opened up the door to the run, I said "Watch out, the turkeys will probably fly out!" And they did! The kids just loved it!

Chicmom, I love the pic of your little guy...so cute! I sadly lost my little Pachy (icon) this winter. He was my first chicken love and there will never be another like him. I have a new little guy though and a few girls. The white crested black is my old girl Czyna and two of my babies.

They are very cute! I lost one this winter too....One of my first hens ever. It sure is sad when that happens.

So glad you've still got some Polish! Love the last one especially, with her golden highlights! haha

Here are my Slates:

We lost a hen in the Spring (I think she went off to make a "secret nest" and never returned), but we did hatch out 2 poults, one of which I think is a "red Slate"
