Trying to come up with a way that DH will agree with me that I "need" some more chicks. My buff Orp roo is a butthead. I would love to get some Bielefelders... auto-sexing at hatch, pretty birds.

I would like to see what my roo crossed with my Jubilee Orp would look like. Jubilee hasn't started laying yet, dang it! She's 8 months old!

I was planning on getting a couple of EE maybe a couple marans or leghorn or some other rarer breeds like cream legbar (I was also hoping to start a bantam flock with polish and d’uccl)
But apparently according to my family we have to many birds so will see still trying to talk them into it
(Note we only have 11 chickens and 3 ducks)

I have 73 chickens. 11 is a good beginner's amount though.

I agree although I’ve had chickens for over 10 years backyard flock though I wish I could have 70+ birds

The dog crate is 2x4, extra large size. Can't hide that anywhere in the house. Also, the peeping, the dust... and me acting a goo-goo silly about them.

How many acres of land do you have, we have 10.

I've came to the conclusion that Cackle hatchery is money hungry. I pay 4 dollars more without the the Small order fee. I spend less with the small order fee.

The price of chicks with Small order fee: $170.74.

The price of Chicks without Small order fee: $174.84.
