If you guys are really serious...sure why not!?!?!
I live in the sticks so no one can complain about the noise or the animals running around. Hotels are about 20 min from the house. We can barbeque and invite all the relatives and salsa friends of my husband. Don't drink and drive is the only rule so we can find a place to lay you out if necessary.
Hey! I'm originally from TN, born and raised in Memphis. I moved to Maine in 2001. So, I'm a northerner by placement and a southerner by the grace of god.
HOPPY - I tried the feather sexing with my cochin and fbcm this morning. I think I have 2 cochin boys and 3 cochin girls. They were obvious to me after looking at the pictures from the site you posted. I'm going to band them tonight to see if I am right later. Also, with the FBCM I think I have 1 boy and 2 girls. Time will tell if I've got it down or not.
Maine is a gorgeous place. We've driven up there a couple of times. Last fall we were up in PA for a whole week at our National Specialty! It really sucks I didn't know ya'll then.
This year's Nat Spec is in Austin, Tx and next year is in Las Vegas - so we won't be up that way for a couple of years. After that it will be in St. Louis.
I've made it to Memphis in one day many times - and from there to PA in one day - so it is very doable. I can swing by and pick up chickenlittle on the way up.
I have a question for anybody who drives in Pennsylvannia! When we were up there we found out that there are streets labeled one way on the map, labeled another way on the ground - and then called yet a different name by the locals. So one road potentially had 3 names! How the hell do ya'll get around in that state?

You were raised in the south and voluntarily moved away!!!!??!?!?!?
My job moved from Memphis to Maine and the schools were rated better here (no offense TN - I LOVE YOU) so, I picked up and moved. I love it here, but one day...I'll be in the South again! Middle to East TN is gorgeous, Memphis is okay, too busy for me.
I am not a Memphis fan. We are smack dab in the middle of the state close to AL. Gently rolling hills, beautiful country...TN has its problems granted...Schools are just one of many but I don't want to move. I supplement their education at home. Complain and vote when the opportunity arises and complain some more.
I can't throw stones at you northerners....I haven't been up that way since I was a child. Maybe a vacation??
