Newbie question...Can I leave my laying pullets on Purina Flock raiser if I provide them with free-choice oyster shell???
I ask because I have some of my young cochins out free ranging with them and would like them on a higher level of protein

They must be nearing a pint on you by now. Good thing you aren't looking as pale. You still just going to the hematologist and not a gastroenterologist? Have you swallowed a camera, yet?

I see the gi doc this week, he is the one that ordered more blood work. thankfully only 2 tubes this time. camera will be after I have my first appt and they may find I don't need it if the bloodwork shows anything. as Of yet, only shows I'm anemic but it's coming up. now past the point where they transfuse.

I have read and reread all of the conversation we have had here and elsewhere about the ivermectin 5% oilbased and the application to the skin and all the benefits etc.... the problem I am having is how and where do you get it. my vet says they do not have it and it is not at any of my local feed store. Suggestions? Do I need a perscription?

Type it in and search it. You will find it.

I never told them why, though.

I would not want to be there for the action, LOL. But I have to say that my one riding instructor/barn manager did a horse. They get him all excited, then pull the blanket off a leather thing with a container inside, and he jumps on it, and does his thing. Oh well............

Well, my little silkie looks okay today. I took the poultry disease book with me to work. After reading thru a zillion illnesses, I have to think it was mold spores. It's been raining every day all last week, then I have a mister on them because of the heat. Wrong thing to do. I'm replacing it with a fan. Stupid me. I think I'll buy a few fans . I also threw a bunch of sand in their pen/coop, hope that helps.

Last night at work was awful. I worked with a nurse who has never "played nice" with me. She changed my assignment from the night before (no one does that), that's just the tip of a six year long iceberg. Well I told her I was taking back my patients from the night before. She blew up, and told me to do whatever I want (nasty like) , AND I DID.So the air was so thick in there for 12 hours, you could cut it with a knife. I am NOT working with her anymore. I made sure that I'm not for the next few months. I always get along well with people, but no more nice for her! I would be using alot of foul language in my venting here, but I'm not allowed! Thank God for friends. Like you all
