Jen, You should really send a test batch to Minnesota. You can't be too carefull you know. (hint, hint.....) I could really use some for my MFC project....

BJ

I tried to hatch so many mille fleur this year and only one hatched, and that one was in a pen that got attacked by what we believe was a raccoon. I was SO dissapointed. I would love to help out with a good project! Wanna trade some eggs???

Oh Heck yeah. They haven't started laying yet, but the 2 roos are certainly doing their job. I need to practice my shipping skills too. I can't wait to start hatching my own. I'm so looking forward to better hatching rates. Once I get them in a pen, I'll try to get some pics. I am also hoping to get some eggs this year from Wingshadows. Mine are from bantyman, and they are good color and excellent type. I have one MF/calico, 2 sorta MF/columbian, 1 nice black mottled, 1 very nice partridge, and a couple more of this n that.

Have you cochin lovers been monitoring the lav cochin thread? Cochinman 2005 (Tom Roebuck) pres. of cochins international, is working on these with the plan of getting them accepted. He is on his f4 generation and thinking of exhibiting them in Indy next year. The are beautiful and easier to improve by crossing to black. I'm toying with the idea of these next year.

Yes, I'm definitely subscribed to that one. I am hoping to get some nice blacks at the Hutchinson show in 2 weeks. Then maybe I could be one of the lucky ones to be part of this project.

When I can start hatching I could swap you for some blue laced reds?

I've been in touch with Tom to get a couple of partridge and maybe barred in early spring. He breeds some nice balls of cochin doesn't he!!!
