Morning All!

I'm up and at work, while J gets to stay home and sleep in, but then he gets to deal with the kids all day!

SO glad I didn't get BF shopping this year, though my sub-consious was mad at me apparently. I was having dreams about it this morning before I got up for work. I'm making the big buckies today, as it is a holiday for us lowly county folks. That's OK though, I will take my double time a half on a Friday with no office staff here!

We had both of our BLRW's hatch yesterday, so we have 2 Thanksgiving babies. They both looked to be splash last night and they are oh so cute!

no sign of my call ducks:-( Just drove a 20 mile radius around everyones properties in freezing iced over roads-nothing:-( Ill keep searching all day but there hasbeen such a huge skunk population this year I think they might have fallen victim to them? But they dissappeared during day light hours which is weird to me-skunks do not or not that I have seen them out during day?? and all 3??? not the big ducks or turkeys the smallest creatures I have...

yah me tooooo.... I go out there every 15 minutes or so to listen for them as they are very verbal-like last night-if they were anywhere close to hearing my voice they certainly would have quacked right back-I mean when I pull in driveway they either fly to the front of my car or run waddle to me:-( It's early yet and Im hoping they are trying to circle around my area to find their way back home

Right now I only have one hen, so if we do, it'll be small batches. If you want eggs though I'll trade you for some of your eggs, I'd like to get a little diversity in that pen.

ETS: still doing fertility testing, those were the first 4 of hers I set. 1 clear, 1 quiter at about day 14, 2 to lockdown and hatch.

I dont mind a swap Right now, my girls are new layers and all pullet eggs-I have 5 under broody that I will candle MOnday ish to check fertility-Now I have a diff roo in there for the past two weeks because I offed the other stunner-he flogged me once and that was it-this guy in there now has really proven to be the best one as he is all mahogany and no brass as of yet and he's a blue not splash roo. I have 2 splash hens and 1 blue laced. If you want some eggs I can ship them out to you-I just dont need any eggs yet for BLRW as Id like to get a bunch of mine first Where are your lines from again? Mine are from Sterling Sue's and Foley's beautiful!!!!

Mine are from Gretchens line. Splash roo over a blue hen. Her coloring is awesome, her only drawback is that she likes to carry her tail partially closed sometimes. I like the hens that always have big fluffy butts showing. He has good coloring splash wise, and his butt is good and fluffy. She's a pullet and just started laying a month ago, her eggs after the first two weeks got huge though. I need to candle now that I'm out of lockdown and see what the rest of hers are doing in there.
