OK, random question of the day......does anyone know how to tell how much propane is left in your tank....like the ones for your gas grill?

The fam is coming over tomorrow and we are going to deep fry our turkey( or burn down the house LOL). I've ben using my fryer to process roos and not sure how much propane is left. The turkey will have to fry about an hour in there, and I don't want to run out. But if I still have enough, I don't wnat to exchange the tank with lots left in it j'know what I mean? Maybe I should open the tank and stick a match down thee to see how much is left??

Bator update!!!!!!!!!!!

BLRW- 9 out of 10 still going, pulled 1 that started and quit with a dimple crack in shell.

Nats splits- pulled 1 out, 7 still swimming strong, come on LAVS!!!!!

Our polish- all clears, #*@!?, these girls just start laying though, all young pullets.

Bad Azz- pulled a couple out, still almost a whole tray kickin in there

d'Uccles from Nationals- not looking promising at this point.

Hmmm, let's see, I've got 7 blrw, 3 silkies, and a polish to add in there. Prolly oughta check coops first though.

I have 14 in right now. I have 2 BLRW eggs from my stock. My blue roo over my splash hen. I have 2 green eggers, 2 blue eggers, and the rest are from Bob, polish and silkies. I can't wait to see them! I have 12 good swimmers and 2 questionable quitters. As soon as these are done, the duck eggs can go in. I chose hatching the calls for 2 reasons, 1 yes they stay small so I can have them inside easily and 2 Bob really needed some buddies. Later in the season I will get some cayuga eggs, maybe some more crested. HOPEFULLY I will be able to hatch my own ducks eggs. She just isn't laying yet.

Lovins, 6 egg swap sounds awesome. Let me know when you have room in the bator and I'll ship em. Dunno if you want just cuckoo polish, but you can put him over WC black, WC blue, and WC Choco that you get from Bob's eggs. It'll give 50/50 cuckoo and solids WC black will be black or cuckoo, wc choco and wc blue will be solid and the other half blue cuckoo and choco cuckoo.
