Silkie peoples.....I am looking to buy 6 eggs for my daughter for Christmas as her 4-H project. I would like them to be hatching on Christmas Day so I need to do this soon as they have to start on the 4th (I think). Does anyone have any girls laying and are they willing to part with 6 eggs? I am not picky on the color anymore, just want good quality so she can hopefully show at the fairs next summer.

BOB!!! ARE YOU OUT THERE?? If your girls are still laying and not under a broody, lol, please let me know. I really want to surprise my Angelbaby. She was so upset when we lost her babies in October. They would be 7-8 months when shows start, is that old enough for show? The fairs start in July I believe.

My hubby is even going to build a silkie coop for them in the backroom of the garage, using the doggy door and giving them a sheltered run off the side. Its Seattle, we want to keep them dry, comfortable and most inportantly safe. My 8 year old takes her pets very seriously, and my hubby is still feeling bad over losing her babies last month.

Actually I just got a call from my youngest dd crying her heart out. It seems that our first chicken ever is dying. I feel so helpless as I am at work 120 miles away

I just steped outside and thought to myself "Gosh, it is a bit chilly out. Maybe it is time I got me one of those, what are they called?? err LONG sleeved T-shirts"

Best 12.99 you'll ever spend. I have one hooked up, a zip strip off it that powers my deicer, heater bases etc.... then have a time controlled light on my other outlet.

I know that in order to have a Christmas Eve/ Day hatch I need them by next Fri/ Sat (Dec 3, 4). I guess I am after another auction. It does not end until tonight, 18+ is alot of eggs, lol.

My other option is the Fall Chicken Show in Chehalis next weekend. Not sure who will be there though.

If your babies decide to be nice and give you any eggs in the next few days please let me know. I would love to just buy a set from you. I am not counting on winning the auction today as I cannot spend over $100 and 18 eggs may go high.
