Hey, LovinMyPeeps!

I get to go out today and cut down my almost entire garden! It is freeze blasted black from that week of 20s at night temps we had. Even the stuff we covered and tried to protect froze - I'm hoping some of them will come back from the roots! The gingers took it on the chin.

But, on the bright side, the little orange and lemon trees I got last year are leafing out and I just put in tomatoes! I need to put in my peppers. The crinums are coming back and some of the roses are blooming, too. The violas are going nuts!

Did I mention how dreadful San Diego is this time of year????

Actually it has rained a quite bit in the last few weeks so now it is nice and green.
Double edged sword though come autumn with wild fire season.

So my first hatch is done (have more on day 8) and the results are:

5/6 shipped eggs from shelleyb1969 (mottled cochin)
3/8 shipped eggs from oldtimegator (2 Blue and 1 Black silkie)

so 8/14, not to bad, that's over 50%
