Bad news- One of my chicks has suspected cocci, I found bloody poop, like gel, and is just sleeping, I am dripping medicated water and yogurt, I will cry, she is one of my sweeties.
My faverolle boy sweetie is a bit "off", I gave them all medicated water and he dove right in and drank alot. So I left him with the group who are all being treated.

Wow, it's never easy with chickens is it? Seems like every time something good happens, we get something bad right along with it.

3$ AN EGG? +12$ SHIPPING ( COMES WITH DELIVERY CONFIRMATION TOO) See thats my problem-with people I know, I have a hard time charging anything haha-with an auction no guilt hahaha-plus theres people who bid I dont know so it makes it easy peasy when they go crazy:-) LOL

$3/egg would be fine. That is Patty's olive eggs would go for. So $18 + $12 = $30. Paypal addy?

[email protected] thanks Brindle-Ill let you know :-)

Well I just got a big suprise! I walked into the storage room where my incubators are and there was a chick! I'm trying not to obsess about this hatch and didn't even realise there was a pip and zip! What a nice suprise. I really need one today.

Aww, how sweet. I've been ignoring this hatch also. Only candled twice, and put them into lockdown around 1am this morning. I don't know if I can stop myself from checking them out or not though. If it was warmer today I'd be out playing in the garden, but it's cold so nothing to do but byc and batorwatch.

Well, only one so far, and upon casual inspection one pip. Patty's 16 barred olive eggers and also her 6 ameraucana eggs should be hatching this weekend. These are just the early birds, I suppose. Har har.

I have to cull one of my silkie chicks that hatched last week. It's little legs are worse and feet are so curled. I've tried the hobble with band aids and pipe cleaners and little band aid shoes too! She is black and has the best little vault! I only hatched two blacks so far, so...I'll be down to one! I keep putting it off...I really don't know if I can... She seems so content, I feel cruel...

Hi, no it's coccidiosis. She's laying on her side right now with her eyes closed. Is there any hope? I'm treating the others, and one more that was questionable is eating and drinking (the med in the water), so I hope it should be okay. I moved them all to a bigger closed coop 3x5 so I can see all the poop easier.
