Nah, they are brave strong women! Prepared to face the wilds of the South! (cue that banjo) My sun hat looks a little like a stetson, but just a little.

And it is later there and they are probably out and about their days by now.

I have to stop playing with you guys and actually get some (More) work done. I'll check back in with you guys later.

Update: The unknown quantity of silkies eggs are now known- I have 24 from Silver Pullet Poultry going in tonight.

Do you realize it is a 28 hour drive from Maine to Memphis, TN so to middle TN must be like 23/24!!??!? Maybe I could swing in there and then head over to Memphis to visit Family. DH and I have been talking about visiting this summer... I could sneak some of your silkies when you are busy playing your banjo!

yes but do you throw like a girl

not me...been playing womens softball for 20 years:-)

Alright, I throw like a girl but I can dance like nobody's business. (Former ballet instructor, so probably not anything anyone here is interested in though.)

And I'm as southern hillbilly as they come. Banjos don't scare me, and neither do holes. I can clog, too. And we roast pigs in our holes. Or mean brothers-in-law...

I'm in if we are not at Duke (and that can be scheduled around if we don't have an emergency.) Tell me a date.

Wait, I am invited, right??

I played Varsity Softball in High School, played softball for my church and was on a city team a couple of years ago. I'm PROUD to say I DO THROW LIKE A GIRL...you should be SCARED.

NAT - I won the BLRW from Fay!

Blessed - Congrats on those frizzles!

Well, Maine is indeed the Great White North. But I drove from Maine to Houston in 2 very....long...days. Make a vacation out of it! Visit family! Be like me and speed 80-85mph! I only got 1 ticket driving home from PA and that was in Virginia. The troopers brother-in-law is a policeman in Houston and we were nice and he was interested in our dogs so we got off with a very minor fine. Real nice guy.

It's about 650 mi from Houston to Memphis. Including stops for people and dogs that will translate into about 15 hours, maybe. If I pick up Mary it will be a bit longer, but still doable, depending on how long Mary's butt can hold out.

C'mon. We can do it this summer before or after the real heat.
