blessed, roasting pigs in holes is a wonderful thing. Real sucking pigs are hard to come by nowadays unless you know a pig farmer down here, but I sure can supply cabrito. Marinated w/ mojo and everything!

Im throwing a split Lav cockeral up on eggbid tonight I was feeding them this am ( kissing butt to DH and doing his morning chores so he could sleep in ) and he trying crowing right at me-the cutest little thing ever-then his Lav dad and he were going back and forth-hes 12 weeks old and sweet as pie-I am listing that there is no shipping but I will hold and bring to chickenstock if anyone wants him or they can come to my house and pick him up

oK girls...I am at a loss...some of the BLRW chicks are still dying...this is what I have done so far....only fed them Chick Starter and the vitamins/electrolytes in the water...had a few die...ok...I can take that...had them on pine bedding...cleaned the bedding...still had a few die...ok..this is starting to cost me...gave them some crushed mannapro and probiotics (plain yogurt) in addition to sulfadimethoxidine(sp?) and their food...(for pasty butt) had a few more die....took the bedding out this AM and put newspaper down...some have watery poop...What else should I do...Its only the BLRWs that are having this problem....IDK what else to do....getting frustrated....

To All - Do you or anyone you know breed black marans without the feathered shanks? I am interested in purchasing some eggs and it seems everyone is striving for the feather legs. I want to pen them with black ameraucana (getting chicks from Paul Smith). I have a couple of FBCM chicks, but would prefer clean legs for some black clean legged olive eggers...

Try worming them with Wazine. The BLRW I got from you was not really at its best - . It was thin and listless and I was really worried about it at first. It has been eating like a pig. Is gaining a little weight but still could do better.

So you are doing the antibiotics
Then worm
then back on the antibiotics and feed yogurt and vitamins etc.
I would worm again in 2 weeks

You are keeping them isolated from the rest of the chicks?
