See thats what I thought-cocci is microscopic-it could happen just by not washing hands and handling the chicks-from what I read:-*(

Cocci is a shape of bacteria , rods or cocci (round). Coccidiosis is a protozoa, which is what the chickens get. I think it lives in all ground, thrives when wet and chicks are not immune. At a certain age, most chickens are immune. Sometimes an older chicken with a poor immune system will get it. My 3 year old roo did.

Ya'll come on. TN is a sweltering humidity steamer in the summer but before or early fall would be the best times.

I've never organized a group meeting like this so throw out dates and suggestions!! I am all ears.
