I woke up to a dead chick this morning. One of the TSC babies that I think was probably a leghorn. But it was one of the few I have that I am sure are hens.
Now, out of 15 in the brooder, only 4 are sure hens. Surely I have more than that, but it's hard to tell with silkies, and 7 are silkies. That leaves 4 others, and I'm sure 2 of those are roos because they are Kristen's mixes and appear to have some barring starting to show up finally. It's not very distinct, but I'm thinking boys. And then I have Nat's two mixes, who so far, both are looking girly.
So is there a way to sex a silkie early??
