I am pretty sure that it could be bothersome for them to molt....Definitely up her protein...you could do this by just throwing her some cat food....

Glad the other 2 are doing much better! Nah, hubby's not gonna kill ya lol Good luck with those eggs...there are quite a few ppl looking for splash JGs...congrats!

they are on day 7

You, afraid?!?! haha I would be anxious to see how they were doing....day 7...you'd be able to see some veining for sure!!!

to help her through the molt, misting birds will help them replace the feathers faster but I worry when you say she is pale and weak. they are burning alot more calories when they molt and it's very stressful on them, which could make her more tired. it won't hurt to move her to a warm safe place incase there is more going on.

So I am popping in for just a second. IV schedule is killing my sleep schedule so I haven't been on the computer as much. Plus, too much yard work to do.

Hope all are well and hatches are good, but I'll have to catch up tomorrow to find out.

Candled tonight. Great news, and here's an update to put on the page for me, please, Nat. (TYIA)

4/4 SF/BSF's (ebay) going on lockdown 4/22 (Started with 15, so not to good of a percentage...)

5 turkey eggs (Nava) on day 12/ due May 7/ movement in 3 I am pretty sure. Think others are clear, but can't be sure. 2 with movement still have loose cells

And 33/36 Sizzle eggs (pamperedpoultry) with obvious veining on day 4. 1 ? so maybe 34. Still some loose cells, but looking really good so far!

And more SF's on the way from lockedhearts!! Yayyyyy!!!!

Thanks everyone. I think I'll crate her tomorrow and give her the royal treatment. It would be hard to feed her other food because of the 16 other vultures who want some too, LOL.

Congrats, Brindle. I'll be getting my eggs next week. Are you getting those gorgeous splash orps? I drool. Maybe we'll be setting close together, but I think mine will be hiding under my silkie-no worries, no bator, no temps, no humidity, no lockdown, no brooder and heat lamp, no growout pen, LOL. And being silkie moms, the chicks will end up with 3 moms!

And I'll just look real suprised when they hatch.

Hopefully I will be able to see Nava's purple orps at her swap in June. Mary, it's not that far from you......

Sem-if she's molting she defffinitely needs extra protein-I feed my Nekkid one scrambled eggs . Loves them!! Yogurt or cottage cheese too:) It takes months for them to get all their new feathers in...

Dropping in to say Hi! have 15 BBS Ameracaunas from Dipsy Doodle in the bator due to hatch Monday, so this is where it gets fun! (gnawing fingers to the bone type fun)! We have t-storms moving in today tonight & tomorrow - please let the power stay on! I swear I'll haul out the generator if I have to!

Sending good hatching vibes & health vibes & vacation fun vibes to all!

Yep, those gorgeous splash orps and dark blues with lacing! I'm going to try and stick part of them under the broody Brabanter, but I don't think I'll trust her with all of them! Mine don't ship until Monday, so we should be setting close together!
