Hatching has begun again chez nous.

I think I may have moved the eggs too late but fingers crossed

So far 8/13 babies out.
At least 2/4 (16 sent) GLW are out as they hatched first.
The 6 others are either the other 2 GLW or 4-6 /9 (28 sent) BLRW's which are day 21 today or tomorrow (I think - not too sure

- It is hard to keep up with everything, kids, work, house, animals etc.)

Hopefully a few more in the morning.

Anyways I know I shouldn't have been looking but saw a marsh roll x incubator with turner on ebay. It went for $185 + shipping (to me

) I could not believe it .
I think that has to be a good deal???? The foam ones cost that.

Here is my update girls...

Hatching in bator #2 well under way!

1/4 local ameraucanas
2/3 B/B/S Cochins from ILOVE - both blue or splash!!
2/3 Frizzle cochins from ILOVE - buff and black
5/8 Local cochins - 5 are BLUE!!!
9/10 My cochin mixes - the last one is pipped - may be 100% on my eggs!!

Not too bad for a little batch

How do you tell a blue and splash apart this early?

2/2 blue cochins (from waxed eggs

)

I may give up getting any marans or wellies...they just are not working for me! This is the second time I got next to nothing out of these expensive eggs

Congrats Ace on your hatch!! I'd love to see the barnie chicks! IMO, the best looking chicks are the GCMs...those are just pretty (pretty isn't even enough to explain it)

Oh, to add...we have 3 more wood ducklings that hatched last night!

Of the eggs that went to lock down (I use the term loosely)
2/4 GLW made it
7/9 BLRW made it

The other 4 eggs can have another day to contemplate hatching.

ALSO a guy is coming tonight and wants to buy ALL the 3 week+ chicks and chickens I have for sale !!
He came about a year ago and did the same.
He may not realize how many I have this time. He is getting an AMAZING deal though (but I get the fun of hatching).

DH's only comment was that whoever he is, he is LATE

It's the middle if day 20. Not a pip or a peep yet from my bator. They're still. I keep telling myself temps were low a bit the first few days, so maybe they'll be late?? I usually have pips by day 20 and the hatching is over and done by the end of 21... I know they were all alive at lockdown...
