Is this the one that ws so cuddly?

No, the cuddly one is still cuddly. We wuv him! The other one, named Dude, is in mod training, LOL. I stalked him this morning. Good. I just stalked him this afternoon, good. So hopefully this will solve it. The unfortunate thing is that the cuddly one named Handsome is at the bottom of the totem pole . I hate to see him cow tow to everyone else especially Dude. But I guess that's the life of roosters.

The Dude must be just a wonderful, gorgeous rooster in all other aspects for you to take all this trouble for him. He probably has no idea how lucky he is!

We had a tom that was aggressive...we tried behavior modification...didn't wor...our oldest son could grab him..and sit on him..wouldn't do anything to Dylan but would still go after my 2 youngest boys...or my MIL..SIL...and I didn't want him hurting them...I kept asking Greg to do the deed...he'd put it off..FINALLY, after the tom went after Greg...he was ready to do it....I hope it doesnt come down to that Sem....good luck!

hmmm, how far is windsor from windham? i will have to look it up....
I need to eventually go to one of these things, didn't the rules change here about testing and being able to sell up here? I have a LOT of chicks in my brooders but I don't know who is staying yet

well, other than my "pullets" (read cockeral) that came from the feed store.
Hoppy, wasn't there some big argument about chickenstocks up here, something about testing? I can't remember, I dropped out when everyone started arguing....

windham to windsor is about 1 hr 15 min according to map quest. the rules are you either have to have a chicken entered into the show or be a club member (central maine bird fanciers) and sell birds from tested flocks (and bird can be tested that day)
testing runs about $10 for a flock and membership is like $7 and to sell is $10 for the day. anyone can come, no gate fee and probably not the 6 chick rule as there will be so many chicks there, easy to pick up 6 and no one checks how many you bought. the chicken stock was where that seemed it was going to be a problem (not sure that materialized to be a problem at all). this is a poultry show with sales and later an auction of whatever people bring, birds or otherwise.

He doesn't know how lucky he is! I've been out there twice this evening, and he either walks a big circle around me, or looks at me like he's wondering what he's allowed to do next. Just what I want!

I think a tom would scare the bajeevers out of me! If all else fails, he might end up living in a pen all by himself. But I WILL win this!
