I figure anything that doesnt sell now I can probably sell at chickenstock. People around here seem to think they should even get POL hens for like $5... are they NUTS? DO they have any idea how much money and time I have in these birds... *wanders off back to her garden muttering*

can you post a picture? is the white, down?
I won't worry about the single comb, it will help your fertility and if you don't like them, then don't keep them but rosecomb to rosecomb will still produce some straight combs.
it is actually the rosecomb/straight comb carriers that have the best fertility from what I'm reading.

Nope, the white is still there on the girl and has feathered in white. The boy had white feathers on his chest (not down) and has finally traded them out for black and black laced. They don't look ANYTHING like your birds. I'm pretty sure they are mixes. I'll post pics.

Pretty sure my brain has pretty much turned to mush....

Who was it that was interested in the mottled Ameraucana project? This little thing just keeps getting more instead of growing out of it.

marans, yes, one sex feathers faster but I forgot which one (sorry)
and the $4 for 3 weeks old, guess it depends what kind. I get $7 for day old up to 2 weeks old then I get $15 up to 6 weeks- never have anything older then that to sell unless it's an older hen I'm retiring. (mine are blr dots)
