The cockerel does not look too far off base for black laced BLRW. The hen Just does not look right.
Hoppy is probably a great person for an opinion here.

I have had BLRW eggs from 4 different breeders, and the last lot seemed mottled and odd, and many had straight combs. I gave most away, but the 2 I kept are starting to look very nice - should have kept the others, especially as people want them now!!! . I think it is very difficult to tell with this breed.

so I was at it again this morning. hubby called said they would be home about 3:00- gave me a few hours to finish up- and I did with the kids room, then decided, what the heck, i have the paint stuff out- sanded the wall (with an emery board- couldn't find the sandpaper) so start painting and in they walk. then I realized I was using the wrong color paint -oops at least it's no longer white in that area. hehe I will have to try another can of paint later.or maybe just a different color all together.

brindle- I had a bathroom that was magenta pink 1/2 wayy up the walls, pink flowers with swirly boarder and pale pink to the ceiling. i loved it but the person that bought the house was a single man, then resold to yet another single man- and still that , should I say it, beautiful pink combo. no one has repainted the bathroom

the bathroom at this house has a window looking out on the front porch next to the entrance door (not a great place to have a private shower) so i cut out some designs on contact paper, placed all over the window (sea life- turtles,dolphins, plants) and spray window texture over it and then removed the contact paper and painted the glass. lots of privacy and very pretty inside or out.
when I get sick of it, I just wash the window and start over.

It is really surprising how many eggs I've hatched this year that produced chicks that were not quite as advertised. Lots of money and effort and expectations.
