Especially for kids, what a missed learning opportunity?? Weighting, measuring, mess, interaction and communication with parents/GP/teachers.....

My son has Autism and his speech class was "cooking speech". Once a week since kindergarten he has been preparing food in school and now at 11 can fix up just about anything. Also he can have a pretty normal conversation, and you would be hard pushed to realize he has a disability at all. YAY for cooking!!

My mom is German, and when we were kids everything was made from scratch, I wish she would bake me a Frankfurterkranz cake now!!! Or those cream puffs.

I do like radlers - german beer and lemon sprudel. Really good.

I prefer german beers, though I will do a Bass now and again. Wheat beer is probably my favorite. With a wedge of lemon! Great for hot weather! A good Paulaner hefe weizen and lemon will take take the cake!

Nope, never have. We were strictly south - mostly south of Stuttgart. Never went into the north of Germany or to East Germany, for some reason. Went to all the surrounding countries to the south, but never traveled north.

Sounds like it would be a pretty drink!

He's fine .. the coop/run is 100yds or more from the house .. so you can't really hear him unless you're out back .. he makes me laugh.. lol
