I'm holding on. back and forth to the hospital and now waiting on a referal to a hematologist (deals with blood disorders). my dr office couldn't find one- 5 mins internet search (if that) I located quit a few
hu.gif
so I called them back (wed) and gave them the info- hopefully now they can get their thumbs out of their butts and make me an appt (they were supposed to do this monday and it's urgent from what the hospital dr tells me) . I'm still extremely tired even though I do pretty much nothing all day. now I have a low grade fever- oh joy. they say I need a blood transfusion but no one in my family is my blood type so I'm holding off for now. 2 co-workers have my type but not sure on the rH factor -mines pretty rare.
so laying around trying to stay warm in this 80 degree heat (no wonder I didn't think this summer was very hot)

Oh hoppy! Get well soon! Fever sucks. I hope you feel better ASAP, and I might consider finding another doctor, if they can't manage a google!

Man o man, I am so sick of chicks in the house! I have about 2 doz eggs that should hatch in the next 10 days or so, and I am done done done for this year. Fluffy butts are too cute and make you smile, but they are also really dusty and a little smelly in the house.

Sounds serious. Be a pest and stay on their butts, squeaky wheel and all...

In animals, I would be thinking Autoimmune hemolitic anemia or Ehrlichia ( a tick-borne intracellular bacteria ). Humans are a mystery. Would Lyme's Dz cause something like this?

Hoppy, missed the fact that you are sick. SOO sorry to hear that. Please keep us updated on progress.

One thing when you are sick and need treatment is make sure you are a Pain In the A** until you get the care you need. Demanding patients tend to get better care, and don't get overlooked (squeaky wheel and all that). You can go back to being miss nice gal when your life is not in jeopardy.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I haven't been online very much this summer with the kids home from school. They went back on Monday.

Cindy, I wanted to say thanks again for the Elephant Ears. Here is a picture from last month of them.

In animals, I would be thinking Autoimmune hemolytic anemia or Ehrlichia ( a tick-borne intracellular bacteria ). Humans are a mystery. Would Lyme's Dz cause something like this?

thanks all, it's good to know you have friends when your down. my blood type is O- (only 3% of the population has that type)

they told me ehrlichia in people that the parasite lives in the buffy coat of the blood and no one has mentioned seeing it (did they look?) they did a coombs- normal and lyme was neg but can get false negatives. I don't have the achy joints so i don't really think that's it. the dr office called, the referral clinic was TOO BUSY to schedule and appointment- that is the first I have ever heard of that- too busy
idunno.gif
makes me think maybe they are not the place to go. anyway, I got a copy of all of my blood work because every time I had a referral, the other place can't seem to find my records but if I bring them with me, they can't not find them. I will call the referral clinic in the morning.

I unfortunately am the very boring A+. There are often false negs on lyme, my cousin had it for years undiagnosed they treated her for MS and everything else under the sun. Keep on it until you have answers. Try a rheumatologist among other docs and squeak LOUDLY.
