both on the same day? wow talk about a double wammy! how you doing Hoppy??? you resting enough? drinking plenty of fluids?

I had my camera pill, that was interesting and I ended up fasting for 26 hours, I was starving when I was done, finished way a head of schedule and they didn't want the camera back. it took a 4 hour trip from end to end (I know, too much info)
I've not heard back from the dr yet but I noticed I am changing color and not in a good way. kind of yellowy brown. eyes mild yellow so back for more blood work today which will tell me how my counts are doing and my liver. I am sick to my stomach today.
yes both the washer and dryer died. the washer is hobbling through but is expected to die (or take off by the way it sounds) soon. sent the day yesterday online looking up washer/dryers, mine died of a common problem at about the time most of them do from this (dry bearings) figured have that checked while the repair man was here, I thought it was off balance- front loader.
so today spent the day looking at washer /dryers and going to the hospital for the blood draw.
I'm so sick of being sick! I can walk further so I think that count is better just wish I had some answers.

When do you hear about the camera study?
Sounds like your liver is working overtime processing the blood breakdown products. Nate is right sunbathe and relax!
Good news that you are walking further.

the pill camera was the size of a multivitamin but very rounded on both ends, had a cool flashing light which if I was in a dark room, some times it can be seen inside you the nurse said.
I expected I have results on th camera study by now. I missed the dr call about my blood work today (cell phones and this area, just don't work) but at least I was able to find the washer and dryer and get that tied up. can I throw up now?

Hoppy I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Is it me or does 4hrs sound like a short transit time! Maybe your colon is camara shy.

Did you sell your beautiful conure? Just lovely!

If I wasn't commited to some started cochins this fall, I'd be sorely tempted.
Do you breed conures?

Sem, hope you're safe where ever you may be.

Day 14 on the "project" eggs and still 7 doing OK.

I'm sure Sem is safe in San Antonio by now. Hermine is long gone.

Dang hoppy! Yellow looks good on so few people. Barfing is like, the worst.

The camera didn't have a wire attached to it, or anything? Wow, high tech. AND you get to keep it as a souvenir.

how generous
4 hours does sound fast, but maybe it is made to do that? IDK.

You should be in the hospital, you know. Severe anemia and jaundice doesn't sound like a good time to be messing with washers and dryers.

I would love to donate to a goody package, but right now, if her stomach is upset, might not be a good time. I used to LOVE escargot and red wine until I bounced some snails and wine off a parking lot surface.

I am SO sorry you feel so bad.

I got to speak with the nurse today, they wanted yet more blood and a liver ultrasound. so I'm waiting on those results. I called the gi dr about the pill camera test and he's on vacation for 2 weeks and no results are posted to my record. I asked if anyone else would be reading it and they said usually the dr that orders it, reads it (not in xray or ct these days) so I was very upset and told the nurse, I'm turning yellow and I'm going for for u/s, it would be nice to have those results and if he wasn't going to read them, what was the rush to get it done???? she called him and called me back, he will read it on monday.
still not too happy if that could help figure out what's wrong.
I wonder if the jaundice isn't due to the omiprizole the first dr put me on (Prilosec). it was 2x the normal dose and for 4 weeks but he said maybe for 1 yr. that can cause liver problems I see. the gi dr lowed the dosage to once daily but that was last week. and I don't even know why I'm on that. dr started that before most of my upper and lower gi tests.

results are in for the most part, my liver is inflammed for some reason but not breaking down blood cells. my anemia is improved but the liver test showed values increased even over yesterday where they were normal when I was first admitted to the hospital. they think it's either the iron they gave or maybe the prilosec one dr started me on. I go back for repeat tests on monday and if they are worse, I'll be back in the hospital.

(sorry dak, didn't mean to ignore you, yes I do breed these little guys)

OH. MY. GOD.

What an inconsiderate, thoughtless PIG. I'm glad that GI DR. deigned to read the results for you on Monday. If you have any other choice, I might not go back to that Dr.

The Dr. that put you on Prilosec was covering his bases, just in case you had a bleeding ulcer in your stomach or small intestine. I think that drug is used to treat ulcers. He probably thought it was an easy thing to do, just in case. I hope you aren't sensitive to it.

Have you been in the hospital, other than for tests? I thought you were still at home, and just traveling for tests. Maybe I missed something. I'm surprised they don't have you in the hospital, period, for the time being. It would seriously suck if the treatment made you sick, too. How frustrating for you! Hopefully you will get some good results on Monday.

Take it easy this weekend!

when all this started last month, they put me in overnight the first time and then that weekend as I couldn't keep anything in/down. so now we are on week 3, almost 4 weeks without being better.
prilosec is for ulcers I just would have thought since he was going to looking up and down that he'd wait until he did that first and not at double the dose for 2 x as long. I am senetive to lots of drugs and vaccines, my titers shoot through the roof with only 1 set of shots and I can't things like aspirin or ibprofren as I react to those in a bad way.
