The Farm house is awesome! Can not wait to see it...you soo need to "warm it up" with a house warming eggswap party.

Yeah, mites here too. I had to go through and frontline everybody over this last week. Little buggers even had infested some of my juvies I had in a brand new brooder/growout cabinet. Little buggers are nasty this year.

Yah what's up with that??? Is the frontline the better choice? Front line plus? Dog or cat? How much?

Is it the season for mites because they are looking for hosts in the cold or is it just a bad year...hhhmmm?

I use the Ivermectic 5% oil based for cattle. It works well. I get it at TSC is a large bottle for $15. That bottle lasts a while. Just put the drops on as Nat posted a few pages back.

First a clean, scrape and sweep it out completely, then I shop vac it. Then I spray it with a solution of oxine and water. I allow it to dry. Next I drown it in DE and then finally use fresh kiln dried shavings.

Me too, bucket carrying from the house BUT I have an idea for you. This is what the past owners of the farm did. Get a 55 gallon food based barrel (white or blue) cut off the top. Place a tank deicer in it. Can get one at TSC or online. http://www.tractorsupply.com/livest...cast-aluminum-utility-deicer-250-watt-2170738 put one of those water heater blankets around the barrel. and put a piece of styrofoam insulation on the top as a lid. Then you can use it as necessary.
