There are conversion kits you can buy... I'll look to see if I still have the info on where I got mine or you can google 'tri fuel generator conversion kit'. It's pretty simple to convert and you can then run it on propane, natural gas, or gasoline. Also, you don't need any expensive switches for powering up your whole house... all I have to do is shut off the main breaker and run the cord from the generator to the dryer outlet and it powers up everything on the panel.
