Hee hee, funny moment. Put down 18 eggs, all 18 hatched.

Went to check dates to see when we needed to put the next batch down. Had a bcm over half way out of its shell riding the egg turner. We missed putting one down 3 days ago.

Its out and screaming as I type.

I miss hatching babies

It's killing me not to have little cheepers in the house. We had them going for so long last year, that the house seemed empty to all of us when we were done. Of course, I have 3 silkies broody right now (I keep stealing their eggs), but it's just not the same as watching and worrying and the excitement when they start pipping and zipping and hatching. Congrats on all your new babies. Maybe if I ever manage to sell/get rid of about 14 roos, I'll start hatching again.
