Shaw and the Hound

There was a couple little things to jump over on the other side you can't see in the video and some poles. He didn't like the taller jump too much but he did do it several times. :clap
The poles he didn't like a lot either. He's too clumsy for that but he managed it. I could tell he did not think that was a good time though. The other stuff he seemed to like doing.

Hey @SueT
Mason and I found the dog park at Lamar today. No one was there so it was a perfect opportunity. 😊
I love it! Our little dogs don’t like to go there so much because there are rarely other dogs there. They would have loved to meet Mason! So we walk around the mile trail at the main part of Lamar Park and they love that more.

Have you ever seen the playground at Lamar Park? The ‘Health Swing’ is really fun, it has been there since the 1930’s—-4 generations of our family have played on it. Here are my hubby and BIL on it this summer—maybe we’ve already talked about this in the MO thread.....

Yep I have been to that park several times. I was actually just going to go there to take him for a walk after we went in the feed store and then he waited on me while I ran in to Walmart for a bit.
I did not know there was a dog park there and actually, I'm glad to hear there aren't dogs there very often maybe we'll stop there more often. 🤣

I don't know if they would have enjoyed meeting him or not he may have woofed them to death.
I wouldn't have even taken him in there if there had been other dogs.
I am still training him to be less reactive to seeing other dogs.
I don't think he would hurt anyone or anything.
But his excited loud barking and trying to greet them can come off as aggressive and I worry that will get him in trouble.

Are your little dogs mellow around other dogs @SueT ?
I could really use a friend with some well-trained not reactive dogs to practice his manners with. 🙄
It doesn't help that I have neighbors who have dogs that run loose constantly. Well of course he's going to throw fit when they're over here on his turf.
But I can't have him reacting and trying to run up to every dog we see on the street if I ever want to walk him anywhere.
I've been practicing with him some on our back property where people walk down the street with their dogs. He is getting better,
But I feel like I'm being a nuisance if he reacts loudly to people just trying to walk by minding their own business. 🤣
Even though I'm on my own property. 🤪

Well, they do get along with most other dogs, but Louis, the terrier is a bit pushy, and can be reactive himself, so it might not work. But what we could do—-there are 2 parts to the dog park —-for big and little dogs and they could meet on opposite sides of the fence and bark all they want. My daughter says Mason looks like a dog they would like. 🙃.
It’s going to get really cold now, and we will have to wait for good weather. We went yesterday, thinking it might be the last warm-ish day.
But yes, when it’s warmer, let’s try it!

You say that...
Until you hear Mason bark. 🤣
I'm fairly certain he can Wake the Dead.

We babysat a little dog a year or so ago and he had a great time playing with that little dog.
