Shaws call duck incubation thread (hatch a wonderful(worthless to Ralphie) dux thread)

That would take off every trace of bloom, isn't that generally to be avoided? (I did set them this evening)

Thank you, I'm trying to learn all I can.
Nope, not if they are going into the incubator. Bloom is an unneeded contaminant inside a sterile incubator.

To be completely honest, if I am lazy and busy I do not sterilize the eggs until just before I set them. I try to get it done early and put them in sterilized racks I have and are kept covered after sterilizing.. I figure the bloom might help before I get them cleaned,

Lexi took the babies for a big swim today. I chewed my fingernails off worrying they wouldn't make it out. But she made sure they did.

It was awesome! Not a ton of calls though and they seemed to go quick. Someone sold a trio of silver mallards that were really beautiful, never seen or heard of them before.

Dang, wish I had been able to go. Maybe next time..
I asked Ravyn about your drake. She said its blue bibbed with 'rusting'.
I don't think there is any lavender involved.

I can only see movement in one call egg. In fact I can't see much at all in any of them. I'm hoping that's fairly normal at this stage, they areat 21 days. Aircells look good except one hasn't changed much, I'm guessing that's a quitter.

The dont move as much towards the end as they run out of room. I look for any veins to indicate life.
