I still have Malibu's abandoned eggs incubating. I'm guessing they will be due this weekend, but I'm not sure. They were not covered outside, the majority of 2 days, then sat inside with me telling myself not to put them in.

I tried to introduce my first little ones back to duck and Jane as juvies. . and duck chased down the female and tried to mate her in the pond
Would've killed her if I hadn't been right there. That was before I knew how ruthless they all could be.

I had a muscovy kill a baby goose trying to mate it. Nearly killed another too. They are very single minded sometimes. I hear good things about scovies but I didn't like them.

I think he watches them with one eye and me with the other, and as soon as he thinks I'm not watching him, he goes after them. I can usually just cut him off, and they hide behind me, but today I actually grabbed him right before he got ahold of Squirt. Put his little butt back in the duck pen and let the juvies forage a little longer. He paced the fence and tried to get out every time I went thru the gate. Horny little baztard.
