I’m thinking your thermometer might be off. What’s the probe read when you stick it in there?

I had taken that probe out but I put it back in a bit ago and it reads 100 at the moment. .
But do you know if those food thermometers would read accurately for air temperature? It seems to. . but I don't know.

Now you have me worried that I need to be moving my thermometers all around and checking to make sure there are no hot spots. I know mine shows a few degree difference between just above the height of the eggs and where they sit on the Turner.

Ya. . I can understand a few degrees but 110
The probe that goes to the incubator itself jumped to 105 when I placed it under the fan on the bottom but went back down in a few seconds. . so many thermometers. . .I think I should just go back to Wal-Mart and buy two or three more fish tank ones and put them in different places in there cause those are the only ones I can know for sure are right

Yes they read accurately. But they won’t read quick fluctuations in temp like the digital ones.

Well. . I have told myself I am not going to be upset over it. .if I let myself get upset then it takes the fun out of it. These eggs wouldn't have been hatched anyway more than likely if I didn't try. . so if they don't hatch at least I gave them a chance.
And if I can blame it on the crap incubator maybe hubby will buy me a good one

If you have a pet store, or if your Walmart sells fish or reptiles, the aquarium or reptile ones are supposed to be pretty accurate. Iguanas and such can be pretty sensitive, so they need trustworthy ones.

I use the basil temp ones...(you know the ones that track a woman's mood)....They are cheap and accurate.

Lol. . I actually meant the new incubator she got at T S C.
But if they make a thermometer to track a womans mood I could use one of those too. . that way I can tell when I'm about to get in a really bad mood and warn people
