I winced at this! That’s a lot of them packed in there! I love geese so I’m glad I didn’t go.

Shaw and I were talking today about molting. We have 1 yr old cayugas that we’re born on the same day. Shaw got a few and I got a few. We live close to each other, but her cayugas are not in serious molt and still laying. Mine have quit laying for a month and are almost finished molting. I was just curious as to the difference in molting times?

That's the bad thing about these swaps.. I felt so sorry for the way some of them were just crammed into cages with no room to even move. And some of them out in the hot sun with no shade or water whatsoever they were all panting so bad
There was a Welshie Drake I almost had to rescue. He was obviously old enough to have his drake voice but Jana, he was tinier than tiny that you just gave me. he looked really rough. Poor baby.

Er my grsh. . I just got a video from ninja ducks new owner
She had 3 girls. . and went and got him 3 more
Said he has been great all day. It looks like he has died and gone to heaven!

Some of the chickens looked absolutely horrible too. They may have just been molting. . I don't know enough to know but a few of the pens of them looked pretty pitiful.

Magenta has been laying later in the day too for a few days now. Putting her eggs in my flower bed lol.

Probably over crowded or could have just been molting. Mine hadn’t been molting too bad yet, but I found a big bunch of feathers in one of my cochin pens today! Someone has definitely started
