Just curious what your incubating technique is...laying down or upright? Hand turning or auto? That's quite a few malpos.



4-5 days would be my guess.

Remove that one, it's bad... others look close, just watch for drawdown and then you'll know you're within a couple days...

Agreed! I hand turn on their sides. Never had a problem with this before, unless i never caught it in egg-topsies.

I have noticed that the incubator eggs seem to tilt a bit on their own already.

No I dont do that. I can't see that making too much of a difference though, but maybe. Like Shaw said, some did a little on their own as they had quite large aircells, i would roll them one way and theyd roll right back.

I thought that my larger eggs would be the last ones to hatch since they have so much absorbing to do, but this morning my biggest egg hatched! And it looks like the smallest one has a bit to go.

Well I have another problem. One of the ducklings in the egg has a large pink lump on the back of its head (definitely not crested) that almost looks like its brain. It looks like its done absorbing when i candle, but its not trying to push itself out. Am I gonna have to cull? I can post a picture but its a bit graphic.

Go ahead and post a pic. It'll make it easier to determine what you might be dealing with.. I hope it isn't what you're thinking..
