I have never seen the book, but if I had a dux infestation, I am pretty sure I would make them pay without having read the book. I am not above waterboarding a dux...

They are foundation bricks I made steps out of. . I forget how many I used.
If you see a glimpse of red on the bottom there are a couple regular bricks down there holding down a piece of hardware cloth over the drain to keep rocks from going down in it.
