We haven’t named it yet. But thinking about Pip or Pippy since it externally pipped 5 DAYS EARLY! When I seen that it had pipped so early, I was so nervous I felt like throwing up. LOL. But it just wanted out. It is such a vigorous and joyful little thing. I’m excited to see whether it is a boy or girl.

Don’t worry, I didn’t leave it in the laundry basket for long. I just had it in there so I can keep it next to me while I slept or didn’t rather. LOL

The solid black is sooo gorgeous!

Could one of your girls have laid on that egg much and "pre-incubated" it? Or was it out in very warm conditions (yea, that's a stretch, huh!) Still is odd that it hatched so early, and is perfectly fine!

It’s possible! The eggs that were in the incubator that have progressed the fastest are all in the same spot. So I’m thinking it’s a warm spot. But how it survived, I don’t know.

I would not call it gorgeous.....BUT Even I the great Ralphie will admit it has a certain appeal lacking in most dux.....

I’m getting excited! I’m hoping for some buff colored ones that in your hatch! I know their is a name for it but I’ve forgot.
